It is ideal for hard-to-approach subjects and helps keep close-ups and long exposures free of vibration.

Press halfway to focus and fully to shoot; for long exposures press fully and slide the button forward to lock it. The camera supplies the power, so no battery is needed, and it handles single or continuous exposures.
