Overview
Nikon MB-N12 Power Battery Pack for Z8 is a dedicated vertical battery grip for the Nikon Z8 mirrorless camera, adding extended shooting power and a more comfortable, secure grip when shooting in the vertical orientation. It houses two EN-EL15-series batteries, incorporates a secondary shutter release, control dials, and a function button for intuitive vertical shooting control, and includes a USB-C port for charging and tethering.
Extended Battery Life and Hot-Swapping
The MB-N12 accommodates two EN-EL15-type batteries, providing around 1.8x longer battery life than the single in-camera battery alone. One battery can be hot-swapped for on-the-fly switching without powering down, so you can keep shooting through longer sessions without interruption.
Vertical Shooting Controls
A secondary shutter release, control dials, and a function button are built into the grip, giving you the same intuitive handling in portrait orientation as you get shooting horizontally.
USB-C Charging and Tethering
The built-in USB-C port lets you connect to an external power source, charge via the EH-7p or EH-8p, or tether the camera to other equipment. Batteries can also be charged inside the grip even when it is not attached to the camera.
