PolarPro Pivot Shoulder Rig System

Overview

The PolarPro Pivot Shoulder Rig System is an ultracompact, lightweight shoulder rig that packs down small enough to slide into a backpack. A quick release plate, adjustable shoulder pad and dual handgrips all adjust without tools, so you can set the rig to the size and comfort your camera needs.

It steadies the camera for smoother handheld video, takes extension rods (sold separately) for adding a battery mount, and lifts straight onto a tripod once the shoulder pad is removed, so moving between handheld and stabilised shooting is quick. The height adjusts without tools by up to 13 cm.

Seven Shooting Positions

The Pivot can sit in seven positions to suit the shoot, including:

• Setup or pit crew, a stable platform for lens or filter swaps that solo shooters get the most from
• On-shoulder, which centres the camera for the best stability with heavier setups
• Over-the-shoulder, which sets the pad at 90° for one-handed jobs like pulling focus on smaller rigs
• Non-monitor, which moves the baseplate forward so you can see the camera's built-in monitor
• Chest-press, where the pad rests against the chest, stomach or hip for low-angle stability
• Shoulder pad removed, so the whole rig slides onto a tripod
