PolarPro Helix MagLock Variable ND Filter (6 to 9-Stop)

Overview

The PolarPro Helix MagLock Variable ND Filter (6 to 9-Stop) is a variable neutral density (ND) filter for the Helix MagLock system, cutting light by 6 to 9 stops. It darkens the whole image so you can use a wider aperture or slower shutter than normal, for blur, a set frame rate or a blurred background. The Helix MagLock system holds the filter with a magnetic connection plus a quarter-turn lock, so there is no threading on and off and the filter stays locked in place through demanding shoots.

A numbered scale on the front ring shows the stop value, a haptic click marks each number so you can adjust without looking, and side knurling gives a secure grip. The optical glass is multi-coated. The frame and ring are brass.
