Overview

The Samyang Cine V-AF 20mm T1.9 FE Lens is an ultralightweight, ultracompact cinema prime for Sony E-mount cameras, covering full-frame sensors up to 8K. Built for single operators, gimbal rigs and drones, it pairs a wide 20mm focal length with a fast T1.9 maximum aperture, giving a wide field of view with strong low-light performance and a soft, cinematic look from its 9-blade iris. This is one of five focal lengths in the Cine V-AF series, all sharing a unified form factor and center of gravity so lenses can be swapped without rebalancing supporting equipment.

Autofocus makes the 20mm easy to use on gimbals and drones where manual pulling is impractical, and a dedicated switch saves focus settings when moving between autofocus and manual focus modes. Tally LEDs on the front and mount index let you see at a glance whether the camera is recording, and a multicoating protects against glare for cleaner images in bright or backlit conditions. All lenses in the V-AF series are color-matched, so swapping between focal lengths mid-shoot does not introduce a visible color shift.

Autofocus Built for Gimbals and Drones

The autofocus function is especially useful for single operators and drone or gimbal capture, and each lens in the series includes the Focus Save function typically found in professional cine equipment along with a custom mode for video-specific firmware functions. A manual focus index is available using the separately sold Manual Focus Adapter accessory, and switching to manual focus is as simple as sliding a button.
