Sirui Sniper 56mm F1.2 APSC Auto-Focus Lens

Sirui Sniper series will comprise 23mm, 33mm, and 56mm f/1.2 lenses. Built for APS-C image sensors, the lenses offer equivalent focal lengths of about 35mm, 50mm, and 85mm, a popular trinity for fast prime lenses. They should be very well-suited to portraiture.

Perhaps the most striking aspect of the Sniper lenses is that they are autofocus primes. They are Sirui’s first autofocus lenses for mirrorless cameras. The minimum focus distances of the lenses range from about 30 centimeters to 50 centimeters, with the 23mm lens offering the closest focusing distance.

Each of the first three Sniper lenses incorporates a 58mm filter thread and weighs around 0.88 pounds (400 grams).

Auto-Focus

Supporting cameras Eye AF feature helps focus on human eyes easily even if the subject moves fast. When videoing, the subject is always detected and tracked, thus helping create a smooth and high-end production.

f1.2 ultra-fast Aperture

All three different focal length lenses feature an F1.2 ultra-fast aperture with shallow depth of field, high bokeh quality, and isolating the subject. A fast shutter speed improves shooting efficiency and at the same time helps capture brilliant moments in time. Reducing the use of light in low-light conditions makes you a run-and-gun filmmaker. Besides, there is no need to use extremely high ISO and you can get a pure night scene.

Outstanding Image Quality 

ED glass and high refractive index glass are added to reduce lens size and meanwhile provide outstanding optical performance with well-controlled flare and ghost. Minimal focus breathing and strictly controlled aberration allow focusing on the subject from beginning to end. 11 aperture blade design creates soft and beautiful bokeh.

Outstanding Bokeh

Include a petal-shaped lens hood for 23mm/33mm focal length lenses and a round lens hood for 56mm focal length lens to reduce vignetting and prevent unwanted stray light from entering the lens. Also, it is super easy to install and detach lens hoods.

Consistency in a Set

You can create smooth and high-end productions thanks to identical gear position, uniform 58mm filter thread and the same characteristics. Even when shooting with a stabilizer, lenses can also be quickly swapped without readjusting accessories.
