Sigma FP2 Mirrorless Camera with EVF-21 Electronic Viewfinder

Overview

Supplied with the EVF-21 electronic viewfinder, the Sigma FP2 Mirrorless Camera adds an eye-level view that stays readable in bright sun. Underneath is a pocket-sized, dust and splash resistant full-frame L-Mount camera, built around a 24.5MP partially stacked sensor, with 6K Open Gate ProRes RAW HQ recording, so the viewfinder suits both stills and handheld video.

A Still/Cine switch gives each type of shooting its own interface, autofocus tracks people, animals and birds, and 13 colour modes, 20 fps bursts and 70GB of internal storage add flexibility. The EVF-21 connects through one USB-C port and its eye sensor swaps automatically between viewfinder and screen, while body (460 g) and viewfinder (113.4 g) stay light together.

24.5MP Stacked Sensor

Imaging comes from a full-frame partially stacked CMOS chip (35.9 x 23.9mm) whose fast readout reduces rolling shutter and supports high frame rates. Base ISO pairs differ by mode: 320 and 2500 for photos, 320 and 500 for video. ISO spans 100 to 102,400 natively and goes to 6 when extended, and you can switch to a 1.5x crop, use shutters from 1/25600 to 30 seconds or hold Bulb for 5 minutes.

Autofocus & Continuous Shooting

Focus modes include single, continuous and manual, with tracking for people, animals and, by neural-network detection, birds, and better low-light performance. Stills burst at up to 20 fps at full resolution, up to 200 frames. Metering is evaluative or spot, with ±5 EV compensation and a 2 or 10-second self-timer.

Colour Modes

Thirteen presets are available from a dedicated Colour button, including Standard, Rich, Calm, Powder Blue, Warm Gold, Teal and Orange, Cinema, 709 Look and a Monochrome mode with ten toning effects. Rich, Calm and 709 Look are new.

Compact Body

The body measures 11.2 x 7.1 x 4.1 cm and is powered by a BP-91 battery rated at about 370 shots (CIPA) or 130 minutes of video. A 3.15-inch tilting touchscreen of 2.1 million dots tilts up 90° and down 45°. There is one 1/4"-20 Thread on the bottom and two on the side, where the viewfinder attaches, and 70GB of internal storage takes over when the SD card is full.

Sigma EVF-21 Electronic Viewfinder

Designed for the FP2, the EVF-21 gives eye-level monitoring in a compact package, with an improved mounting system. A 0.5-inch OLED panel of 5.76 million dots has 0.88x magnification and about 100% coverage, and a 19.5mm eyepoint keeps the image visible. An eye sensor switches the display between the screen and the viewfinder, and it connects over USB-C.
