Overview
The SmallRig 5956 Cage Basic Kit for Canon EOS R6 Mark III / R6 Mark II (Advanced Edition) is a full-featured camera cage designed to reduce arm load and increase stability during handheld shooting while providing extensive accessory mounting options. The kit includes a formfitting cage, HDMI/USB-C cable clamp, a top handle, and an adjustable side handle.
The cage features multiple 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 ARRI-style threads, HawkLock quick release interfaces, an H21 NATO rail, an H38 Arca-Swiss quick release plate, strap slots, cold shoes, and QD interfaces for attaching monitors, microphones, tripods, follow focus systems, handles, and other accessories. The cage secures the camera using a single 1/4"-20 screw at the base and two side locating blocks with built-in silicone pads to prevent scratches.
The top handle provides comfortable ergonomics for low-angle shots and easy carrying, while the side handle offers a silicone insert for improved grip and two-handed stability. Built-in magnetic flat-head screwdriver and hex spanner simplify assembly and disassembly. The included HDMI & USB-C cable clamp ensures stable signal transmission.
Note: Remove the side locating blocks before mounting. Not compatible with DJI RS 4 Mini gimbal. Canon R6 Mark II requires the separately available cable clamp 2981B when used with this kit.
