Sony's Fast Telephoto Portrait Prime
The Sony FE 135mm f/1.8 GM is a medium-telephoto prime built for Sony's full-frame E-mount system, prized for its ability to isolate a subject with beautifully smooth bokeh. A bright f/1.8 maximum aperture suits portraiture, close-range sports and even landscape work where a longer, more compressed perspective is useful, while the G Master optical design balances high resolution with pleasing out-of-focus rendering.
Fast XD Linear Motor autofocus and a weather-sealed build make this lens suited to demanding professional use, with a physical aperture ring and de-click switch adding tactile, video-friendly control over exposure.
Advanced Optical Design
- One XA element controls astigmatism, field curvature and coma
- Two extra-low dispersion elements, including one Super ED element, reduce chromatic aberration and colour fringing
- Nano AR coating suppresses reflections, flare and ghosting in strong light
Fast, Precise Autofocus
An XD Linear Motor system with internal focusing delivers quick, quiet and accurate autofocus, while also enabling smooth, natural manual focus override. Two customisable focus hold buttons on the barrel give quick access to key settings during a shoot.
Weather-Sealed, Video-Friendly Handling
Dust- and moisture-resistant construction and rubberised control rings suit working in changeable outdoor conditions, while a fluorine coating on the front element resists smudges and makes cleaning easier.
- De-clickable physical aperture ring for smooth, silent adjustments while filming
- Rounded 11-blade diaphragm for smooth, natural bokeh
