Sony's Do-It-All Hybrid Camera
The Sony a7 IV is an advanced full-frame mirrorless camera built to handle stills and video with equal confidence. It pairs a 33MP back-illuminated sensor with the BIONZ XR processor for high-resolution imagery, fast continuous shooting, and robust 4K video, making it a strong all-rounder for photographers and content creators moving between disciplines.
33MP Sensor and Fast Processing
A newly developed 33MP Exmor R BSI CMOS sensor delivers high clarity, low noise, and accurate color across a sensitivity range of ISO 100-51200. Paired with the BIONZ XR processor, it supports continuous shooting up to 10 fps and a deep buffer for extended bursts, while reducing rolling shutter for cleaner rendering of fast-moving subjects.
4K 60p Video in 10-Bit
Full-width oversampled 4K recording is available up to 60p in 10-bit, with no recording time limit, giving filmmakers extended clip lengths without interruption. S-Cinetone delivers natural skin tones and controlled highlights straight out of camera, while S-Log3 and HLG support unlock greater dynamic range and grading flexibility in post-production.
759-Point Real-Time Eye AF
A Fast Hybrid AF system with 759 phase-detection points covers approximately 94% of the frame, with sensitivity down to -4 EV. Real-time Tracking and Real-time Eye AF lock onto human, animal, and bird subjects and hold focus even as they leave and re-enter the frame, with full support during video recording as well as stills.
5-Axis In-Body Image Stabilization
Effective 5.5-stop 5-axis stabilization compensates for camera shake across pitch, yaw, horizontal, vertical, and roll movement, working with adapted and third-party lenses as well as native E-mount glass. An Active mode adds further correction for smoother handheld video.
