The Sony FE 50mm f/2.5 G is a classic normal focal length built into an especially compact, full-frame E-mount prime, versatile enough for portraits, street photography and landscapes alike. Part of a matched trio with the FE 24mm f/2.8 G and FE 40mm f/2.5 G, it combines stylish, tactile handling with sophisticated G Series optics for everyday walk-around shooting.

Two aspherical elements and an extra-low dispersion element control distortion and chromatic aberration for consistent sharpness, while dual linear autofocus motors deliver quick, quiet focusing suited to both stills and video. A physical aperture ring with a de-click switch, customizable focus hold buttons and an AF/MF switch on the barrel put tactile control at hand.

Close-Up Shooting to 0.21x Magnification

A minimum focusing distance of 31cm with manual focus enables a 0.21x maximum magnification, adding close-up versatility beyond typical normal-prime use.
