The Sony FE 70-200mm f/4 G OSS Lens is a compact, stabilised telephoto zoom for full-frame Sony E-mount cameras. A constant f/4 aperture and G-series optics make it a workhorse for events, sports and portraits, and it is smaller and easier to carry than an f/2.8 version.

We cover the G-series optics, stabilisation, autofocus and handling, and the build and tripod collar.

Compact Constant f/4 Telephoto

The 70-200mm range stays at f/4 throughout, in a lighter lens that suits all-day shoots where a nimble, stabilised zoom is an advantage.

G-Series ED, AA & Aspherical Glass

Two ED elements and one Super ED element control chromatic aberration, while two AA elements and one aspherical element handle aberrations and distortion. Nano AR coating suppresses flare and ghosting.

Optical SteadyShot & Dual Linear AF

Optical SteadyShot reduces camera shake, and dual linear motors with internal focus give fast, quiet autofocus. Focus hold buttons and a focus range limiter give extra control.

Sealed Build & Tripod Collar

Dust and moisture resistance suit outdoor work, and the removable, rotating tripod collar helps with balance on a tripod.
