Pre-loved Sony Sonnar T* FE 55mm f/1.8 ZA Lens (S/N: 0247659)

A Premier ZEISS-Engineered Portrait Prime

The Sony Sonnar T* FE 55mm f/1.8 ZA Lens is a perfect pairing for full-frame Sony E-mount cameras, offering excellent resolution and a bright f/1.8 aperture for photographers after a high-performing normal-length prime. Based on the ZEISS Sonnar optical concept, it's a compact, versatile lens equally suited to portraits, street photography and low-light shooting.

ZEISS Sonnar Optical Design

Seven elements in five groups help achieve the lens' large maximum aperture of f/1.8 while simultaneously reducing flare and improving contrast. Three aspherical elements, including two double-sided, reduce astigmatism, field curvature, coma and other monochromatic aberrations, while a ZEISS T* anti-reflective coating minimizes reflections across each lens surface for greater image clarity, contrast and colour fidelity.

Fast Focus and Weather Sealing

A linear autofocus motor and internal focus design provide quick, precise autofocus performance and accurate, silent focusing while recording video.

• A bright f/1.8 maximum aperture allows shallow depth of field and confident low-light shooting.
• A rounded nine-blade diaphragm contributes to a pleasing bokeh quality.
• Dust- and moisture-sealed construction, with rubberized control rings, supports use in inclement conditions and colder temperatures.
