High-Speed VXD Autofocus

Tamron’s VXD (Voice-coil eXtreme-torque Drive) linear motor uses electromagnetic motion for highly responsive, precise, and near-silent focusing. This benefits both still photography and video recording, especially in situations requiring smooth focus transitions.

Compatibility with Tamron Lens Utility allows users to customize autofocus behavior, including linear or non-linear focus ring response, via the built-in connector port.

Optical Construction
