TTArtisan 50mm f/1.8 NEO Lens (Sony E)

Overview

The TTArtisan 50mm f/1.8 NEO Lens is a full-frame prime built for Sony E mirrorless cameras, pairing a versatile 50mm focal length with a bright f/1.8 maximum aperture. It's designed as an everyday lens for portraiture, street photography, reportage, and general shooting, giving you enough speed to work confidently in dim interiors or low evening light. The 45° angle of view and 12-element, 8-group optical formula, including two ED and four HRI elements, deliver sharp, accurate detail from the centre of the frame to the edges on both full-frame and APS-C bodies.

TTArtisan simplified the NEO's design by removing the traditional focus and aperture rings, keeping the barrel clean and the lens light and easy to operate for photo and video work alike. A fast STM stepping motor drives smooth, quiet autofocus, while built-in eye and face detection keeps your subject sharp whether you're shooting stills or tracking movement on video. The seven-blade diaphragm rounds out the package with pleasing background bokeh, and a minimum focus distance of 48cm lets you move in close for detail shots without switching lenses.

Simplified Ring-Free Design

By removing the focus and aperture rings, TTArtisan streamlines the NEO into a lightweight, no-fuss lens that's quick to pick up and shoot with, whether you're working handheld or mounted on a gimbal.

Reliable Autofocus for Photo and Video

An optimised STM stepping motor drives smooth, near-silent autofocus for both stills and video, while eye and face detection keeps your subject in focus as they move through the frame.

Close-Up Shooting to 48cm

A minimum focus distance of 48cm lets you get in close for detail shots and tighter portraits without needing a dedicated macro lens.

Smooth Bokeh from a 7-Blade Diaphragm

Seven aperture blades keep out-of-focus backgrounds soft and rounded, helping your subject stand out whether you're shooting wide open or partially stopped down.
