Overview

The Viltrox DC-550 5.5" HD On-Camera Monitor gives you a bigger, brighter view of your shot than your camera's own screen. Its 5.5" 1920 x 1080 panel reaches 1200 nits, bright enough for outdoor shooting, and a 178° viewing angle keeps it readable from the side.

A HDMI input takes DCI or UHD 4K at up to 30 fps, plus 1080p, and a HDMI loop output sends the same picture on to a second monitor or recorder. A 3.5 mm headphone jack lets you listen to the audio carried over HDMI.

Monitoring Tools

Check focus, exposure and colour before you record:

  • Focus peaking and pixel-to-pixel zoom
  • Histogram, RGB parade waveform and false colour
  • Colour temperature, tone, brightness and contrast controls
  • Custom 3D LUT import and Rec.709 colour

NP-F or DC Power

Slide an NP-F battery onto the built-in plate for cable-free shooting, or run the monitor from a DC barrel or USB-C supply on longer days. A built-in cooling fan helps keep it cool through long sessions, and a battery, sun hood, shoe mount adapter and HDMI cables come in the box, so it's ready to use straight away.
