Viltrox DC-L2 7" HDMI/SDI On-Camera Touchscreen Monitor

Overview

The Viltrox DC-L2 7" HDMI/SDI On-Camera Touchscreen Monitor adds 3G-SDI to a light 7" monitor, so it works with both camera and broadcast gear. Its 1280 x 800 IPS touchscreen makes checking focus, exposure and framing quick, and at 392 g it suits small rigs and crews.

It takes HDMI and SDI inputs with a loop output for each, and builds in waveform, false colour, zebra and anamorphic de-squeeze, with up to 20 custom 3D LUTs. It runs on NP-F batteries or USB-C power, flips the picture automatically when mounted upside down, and attaches by 1/4"-20 threads on two sides.

Monitoring Tools

Everything you need to judge a shot is on the screen:

• Waveform, RGB parade and vectorscope
• Histogram, false colour and zebra
• Screen markers and custom aspect ratios
• Anamorphic de-squeeze, image flip and rotate

Connections

HDMI and 3G-SDI inputs accept up to DCI or UHD 4K30 over HDMI and HD over SDI, and each has a loop output to feed another monitor or recorder. A 3.5 mm headphone jack plays the embedded audio, and the USB port loads up to 20 custom 3D LUTs and firmware updates.

NP-F or USB-C Power

Slide an NP-F550, NP-F750 or NP-F970 battery onto the rear plate for cable-free shooting, or run it from USB-C or a DC barrel supply for longer days. A battery, sun hood, shoe mount adapter and HDMI and USB cables come in the box, so the monitor is ready to use as soon as you unpack it.

Mounting & Auto Flip

Anti-twist 1/4"-20 threads on the bottom and right side hold the monitor firmly on a cage, a magic arm or the included shoe mount adapter, without it turning out of position. A built-in gyroscope senses when the monitor is upside down and flips the image so it always reads the right way up.
