Overview

The YC Onion Tako Nano Carbon Fibre Monopod with FX50 Fluid Head combines a fast-deploying carbon fibre monopod with a compact fluid head for horizontal and vertical video. The monopod handles loads up to 8 kg, while the head adds smooth 360° panning and a -62 to +85° tilt range.

Folded, the monopod measures 69 cm and weighs 1.1 kg, so it travels easily, and a single thumb release adjusts its height from 70 cm to 182 cm. The included pedal base adapts to uneven ground and gives you a variable-drag swivel for smooth pans at the press of a foot.

Pedal Base

The Arca-type quick release base swivels when you press the pedal, and a knob increases or decreases the swivel drag. You can mount a camera straight onto the base's Arca-type receiver for low-angle shots, and the legs lock at two distinct angles for flexible positioning.

FX50 Fluid Head

The head gives independent locks and control over its pan and tilt, and an adjustable pan and tilt handle keeps moves smooth and precise. A one-flip L-bracket design switches quickly between horizontal and vertical shooting. The camera mounts with a 1/4"-20 Screw on the quick release plate, a built-in bubble level helps with balancing, and a magnetic Allen key stores in the plate base for quick adjustments on set.
