Zoom Instamic Pro Plus C Microphone and Recorder (Stereo/Mono)

Overview

The Zoom Instamic Pro Plus C Microphone and Recorder is an ultracompact audio recorder built for creators who need reliable, broadcast quality sound in demanding environments. Housed in a body measuring just 2.5 x 3.8 x 1.3 cm, it packs six MEMS microphone capsules and 32-bit float recording into a device small enough to hide in plain sight, whether clipped to clothing, mounted on a vehicle, or tucked into a scene. Rated IP67 for water and dust resistance, it is equally at home on outdoor shoots, action sports, and extreme conditions where conventional recorders struggle.

32-Bit Float Recording Without Clipping

Six highly efficient MEMS capsules capture a 40 Hz to 20 kHz frequency range at up to 135 dB SPL, delivering full-spectrum sound that stays clear and natural even in loud environments. With 32-bit float capture, the Instamic preserves every nuance of sound, from the softest whispers to the loudest peaks, without digital clipping, so you can record confidently in unpredictable environments without worrying about levels.

IP67 Waterproof and Dustproof Build

Rated IP67, the Instamic Pro Plus C shrugs off rain, snow, dirt, and dust, and can even be submerged in water up to 1 m for 30 minutes. It is built to handle outdoor shoots, action setups, and extreme conditions where other recorders will not survive. Each unit provides three mounting methods, a magnet clip, adhesive tape, and nano suction tape, giving you placement flexibility whether attaching to clothing, vehicles, or set pieces. With up to 4.5 hours of continuous recording and convenient USB-C recharging, it is built for extended sessions in the field.

Recording Modes for Stereo/Mono Model

• Mono: focused, clean capture for voice, narration, and interviews.
• Dual-Mono: identical mono signal sent to both channels for postproduction consistency.
• Stereo: left/right channel separation for ambience and music.
• Mid-Side (M/S): adjustable stereo image for flexible spatial control in editing.

Timecode Sync and Remote App Control

Equipped with a 2.5 ppm internal timecode clock, the Pro Plus C integrates seamlessly with professional workflows, supporting Atomos and Tentacle Sync wireless timecode for rock-solid sync between audio and video with no drift or guesswork. It can also function as a Bluetooth mic for phones and computers, and with the companion app you can capture video with Instamic audio directly, with no syncing required. It works with popular third-party apps like Filmic and Blackmagic Camera and is compatible with iOS, Android, macOS, and Windows. The Instamic Remote App (iOS and Android) lets you manage up to 10 units at once, powering them on, monitoring live, syncing timecode, and adjusting a 3-band EQ, all from your phone or tablet.
