Overview

Add mounting options and handheld capability to your Blackmagic Design PYXIS 6K or PYXIS 12K cinema camera with the Tilta Camera Cage Pro Kit for Blackmagic PYXIS 6K/12K (V-Mount). The kit bundles a modular full camera cage, a Xeno top handle with NATO clamp, a 15mm LWS Manfrotto-style baseplate, two 20cm-long 15mm rods, and a V-mount battery plate, giving you a complete rigging setup for run-and-gun or handheld cinema work straight out of the box.

The modular cage is built from left and right side arm panels, a bottom plate, a top plate, and a side SSD plate that secure directly to the camera body. Together these components add shoe mounts, NATO rails, an ARRI-style rosette, 1/4"-20 threads, and 3/8"-16 anti-twist threads, so accessories such as monitors, microphones, and articulating arms can be attached wherever they are needed.

Modular Cage Construction

The cage components can be added and removed as needed, and include an integrated shoe mount, NATO rails, an ARRI-style rosette, 1/4"-20 threads, and 3/8"-16 anti-twist threads for attaching accessories. A multi-functional side SSD plate features a slot for an optional SSD measuring 5.2 to 6cm wide and 1.2cm thick, with a quick-release lever for fast access. A Manfrotto-type quick release dovetail plate is included for fast camera mounting, aligned to the optical centre of the camera, and the top plate is compatible with the original PYXIS top handle.

V-Mount Power Distribution

The included Tilta Battery Plate attaches to and locks into the PYXIS 6K or 12K camera's BP-U battery slot, passing power through from a high-capacity V-mount battery. It adds two 14.8V D-Tap outputs, a 14.8V 2-pin LEMO-style output, and a USB-C output for powering accessories, plus a DC barrel input that allows hot-swapping the battery using a separately available cable and external power source.

Low-Angle Handheld Grip

The black Tilta Xeno Top Handle secures to the cage via a NATO clamp for improved low-angle shooting. Multiple 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threads throughout the handle allow articulating arms, cable clamps, or other accessories to be attached, while a single cold shoe slot accommodates a shotgun microphone or wireless transmitter. A silicone grip provides an ergonomic, anti-slip handhold.

Rod-Based Accessory Support

• The 15mm LWS Manfrotto baseplate adds rod compatibility for mounting matte boxes or follow focuses, and installs via a quick release connection.
• 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 mounting threads allow compatibility with third-party quick release systems.
• A locking toggle lets the baseplate be used with the separately available 19mm studio version.
• A dovetail receiver on the base is compatible with Tilta- or ARRI-standard dovetails.
• The included 20cm rods have female threading on both ends so optional threaded rod adapters can extend their length.
