The Canon EF-S 24mm f/2.8 STM is a slim pancake-style prime lens designed for APS-C-format Canon DSLRs using the EF-S mount. Equivalent to a 38.4mm focal length in full-frame terms, it delivers a natural perspective well suited to everyday shooting, travel, and street photography. Recognisable by its remarkably thin profile, the lens measures under 2.3cm in length yet still houses an advanced STM stepping autofocus motor for quick, smooth, and near-silent focusing during both photo and video work. Its f/2.8 maximum aperture is bright enough for low-light use while keeping the whole lens compact and lightweight.

Optically, a single aspherical element reduces distortion and spherical aberration for crisp, clear results, while a Super Spectra coating suppresses flare and ghosting to preserve contrast and colour fidelity in bright conditions.
