The Canon EOS 3000D DSLR Camera with 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 III Lens Kit is a compact, entry-level DSLR for photo and video shooting. An 18MP APS-C CMOS sensor with DIGIC processing gives impressive image quality, with 3 fps continuous shooting and Full HD 30p video, and the 18-55mm kit zoom covers everyday shooting from wide scenes to portraits.
A familiar DSLR design with an optical viewfinder, a rear LCD and built-in Wi-Fi makes it an easy camera to learn on. It also works with the full lineup of Canon EF and EF-S lenses, so you can add to the kit as your skills grow.
18MP Sensor & Burst Shooting
The 18MP APS-C sensor combined with DIGIC processing supports both stills and video. Continuous shooting reaches 3 fps, for unlimited JPEGs or up to 6 consecutive Raw frames, which is enough for moving subjects such as kids and pets. Sensitivity runs from ISO 100 to 6400 and can be expanded to ISO 12800 for especially dim scenes.
Full HD Video
The 3000D records Full HD at 30p, HD at 60p and standard definition at 30p, with contrast-detection autofocus available during recording. A built-in mono microphone handles audio, and Video Snapshot lets you capture short 2, 4 or 8-second clips and compile them into one highlight-style video.
9-Point Autofocus
The 9-point phase-detection system has a single cross-type point in the centre for higher accuracy in mixed and low-contrast light. AI Servo AF keeps track of moving subjects, so you can follow action reliably.
