The Canon EOS M3 Mirrorless Digital Camera is a compact camera that captures high-resolution images and Full HD 1080p video, built around a 24.2MP APS-C CMOS sensor and a DIGIC 6 image processor. It suits photographers who want a small body with full manual control, a tilting touchscreen for selfies and low-angle shots, and wireless sharing.

A front dial and an exposure compensation dial give direct control over settings, while the Hybrid CMOS AF III system, Wi-Fi with NFC, a hot shoe and a built-in flash cover autofocus, sharing and lighting. 24.2MP Sensor & DIGIC 6

The APS-C sensor and DIGIC 6 processor combine to give fast autofocus, strong image quality and sharp detail in photos and video. Sensitivity runs from ISO 100 to 12800 and can be expanded to 25600 for faster shutter speeds in low light, and Multi Shot Noise Reduction takes four consecutive shots, then merges and aligns them to reduce noise and blur.

Hybrid CMOS AF III

Contrast and phase detection AF are combined for accuracy and speed in both photo and video, with 49 phase-detect points covering 80% of the frame vertically and 70% horizontally. Canon says it focuses up to 6.1x faster than the EOS M. For manual focus, you can magnify any point on the LCD 5x or 10x and confirm focus with on-screen peaking.

Tilting Touchscreen LCD

The 3.0" Clear View II touchscreen has 1,040k dots and a smudge-resistant coating, and it tilts up 180° and down 45° for selfies and low-angle shots. Touch AF lets you tap the part of the image you want sharp, and the screen has a five-level brightness control and a 170° viewing angle.

Hot Shoe, Built-In Flash

The pop-up flash has a guide number of 5 m at ISO 100, covers up to an 18mm focal length, recycles in about 3 seconds and syncs up to 1/200 second. An integrated E-TTL II compatible hot shoe takes an external flash or trigger when you need more power or control.
