Overview

The Tilta Pro Camera Cage Kit for Sony a7 IV (Black) bundles a full formfitting aluminum cage with a top handle, a left-side power handle, an HDMI cable clamp, a 15mm LWS baseplate, and rods, giving Sony a7 IV shooters a complete rigging solution for protecting, powering, and accessorising the camera on set. Built from aluminum and steel, the cage retains full access to the camera's controls, ports, battery, and display while adding NATO rails, rosettes, and dozens of accessory mounting threads. The cage also fits the Sony a1, a7S III, a7R IV, a7 III, a7R III, a9, and a9 II, making this kit a versatile rigging base across several Sony bodies.

Full Camera Cage Construction

The formfitting aluminum cage secures the camera with a 1/4"-20 mounting screw and is designed not to block access to controls, displays, ports, or the battery. Two integrated top shoe mounts, a side rosette, and NATO rails on the top and side provide attachment points for articulating arms, lights, monitors, and other accessories, while multiple 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threads around the sides and bottom allow further accessories, a baseplate, or a tripod to be mounted. An integrated Arca-type dovetail base and the included Manfrotto-style plate offer two mounting options, and a stowed screwdriver at the base of the cage keeps a tool on hand for adjustments.

NATO Top Handle and HDMI Cable Clamp

• The compact NATO top handle mounts via a quick-release NATO clamp and locking lever, with one shoe mount and multiple anti-twist 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threads.
• Its smaller size than a standard Tiltaing handle suits smaller cameras or a lighter shooting package.
• The aluminum and stainless steel HDMI cable clamp secures the video feed cable to the cage to prevent accidental disconnects.
• An HDMI male-to-female extension cable routes the camera's HDMI connection out to an external monitor and can be secured with the cable clamp.

Left-Side Power Handle with Run/Stop

The Advanced Power Handle attaches to the left side of the cage using a rail/rosette mounting bracket and accepts a Sony F570 battery (sold separately) to power accessories through an 8V USB-C output and a 12 VDC port. A run/stop button on the handle controls record start and stop on compatible cameras when connected via the included run/stop cable.

15mm LWS Baseplate and Rods

• The 15mm LWS baseplate adds rod support for accessories such as a follow focus, matte box, or lens motor.
• Its dovetail base slides onto a Tilta-standard or ARRI-style baseplate, and bottom 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threads suit most quick release plates.
• Two threaded 15mm rods in anodized aluminum are included, chamfered on one end for easier accessory mounting and threaded on both ends for extending length with optional adapters.
