Stacked Sensor and BIONZ XR2 Processing

The newly developed 66.8MP Exmor RS BSI sensor is the highest resolution full-frame, fully stacked sensor available, achieving 5.6x faster readout speeds than a conventional design. Paired with a new BIONZ XR2 processing engine and its integrated AI processing unit, the camera delivers a wide 16-stop dynamic range, native sensitivity from ISO 100 to 32,000 (expandable to ISO 50 to 102,400), and reduced rolling shutter for cleaner rendering of moving subjects. Pixel Shift Multi Shooting can combine up to 16 exposures into a single composite image of approximately 265.8MP for even greater resolution and colour accuracy in post-production.
