Tilta Camera Cage Pro Kit for Sony FX5 (Black)

Overview

The Tilta Camera Cage Pro Kit for Sony FX5 (Black) builds a complete handheld and rod-supported rig around Tilta's modular Full Camera Cage, adding two ergonomic Xeno handles and a height-adjustable 15mm baseplate with a pair of rods. It is built for shooters who want a full protective cage plus the mounting flexibility of a rod-based rig, all from a durable aluminum foundation.

Full Camera Cage Foundation

The kit is built around Tilta's formfitting Full Camera Cage, a lightweight aluminum cage that wraps around the Sony FX5 on four sides while keeping its controls, ports and battery slot fully accessible. The base includes a DJI gimbal center point for faster balancing, along with top and left-side NATO rails, a shoe mount and anti-twist 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threads for attaching accessories. A detachable Arca-type bottom plate supports both horizontal and vertical shooting.

NATO-Clamp Top and Side Handles

Two Xeno handles attach to the cage's NATO rails for a more secure and ergonomic hold.

• The top handle has a cold shoe slot for a shotgun microphone or wireless transmitter and multiple 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threads for other accessories.
• The side handle mounts on either the left or right side via a NATO clamp with a lever lock.
• Both handles have a nonslip silicone grip, and the side handle includes a magnetic 3mm Allen key.

Height-Adjustable 15mm Rod Baseplate

A 15mm LWS rod clamp baseplate with a quick-release Arca-type top plate lets you integrate the cage with standard 15mm rod systems and Arca-type tripod heads.

• Height adjustable within a 2 cm range to accommodate a follow focus system or matte box.
• The rod center to Arca receiver distance ranges from 1.8 to 3.8 cm.
• A dovetail clamp on the base is compatible with Tilta dovetail plates, with 1/4"-20 threads on the bottom for mounting to a tripod, plate or rig.
• The Arca-type quick release plate uses a 1/4"-20 screw to secure the camera, and the baseplate supports a camera rig load of up to 4.5 kg.

Threaded 15mm Rods

Two 20 cm rods with female threading on both ends let you use optional threaded rod adapters to extend the length. One end of each rod is chamfered for easier mounting of rod-based accessories, while the straight-cut end gives a smoother rod join. The rods are machined from aluminum and anodized black for wear and corrosion resistance.

Durable Aluminum Build

• Built from durable aluminum with strap slots on all four sides.
• A dedicated magnetic latch adds extra security to the camera's battery slot.
• A cable clamp protects the HDMI cable from accidental disconnection during a shoot.
